The Poncan Theatre has entertained and enthralled audiences for over eighty years. She was designed by the preeminent theatre designers, the Boller Brothers and is an excellent example of their Spanish Colonial Revival style. The Poncan Theatre has been restored to represent her original 1927 look, but modernized for today’s use. She has played host to sellout musical reviews, standing room only shows as well as events sponsored by the Ponca City Arts and Humanities Council and the Ponca City Concert Series. The Poncan Theatre is the proud host to her signature events, the Evans Children’s Performing Arts Academy, and the Poncan Theatrical Season.

Double crossed and on the run, an assassin for the British East India Company seeks to redeem his past by thwarting a plot against a young nation's hope for freedom.

The leading mercenary for the British East India Company, Will Reynolds has just been double-crossed and now is on the run in the American Colonies. Working to redeem his name and win back the affections of the woman with whom he's never been fully truthful, Will now hides behind a new mask in hopes of thwarting his former employer. As his past life closes in on him, Will must somehow gain the trust and the help of his beloved Charlotte - as well as Ben Franklin - while he races against time to defuse a plot of historical proportions. Coming to theaters Spring, 2015, Beyond the Mask is a revolutionary new family film that brings history to life in a faith-filled adventure celebrating grace, liberty, and the true freedom that can only be found in Christ.

The Poncan Theater Presents:
District Attorney Brian Hermanson
April 19 - Showtime is 6:00PM

April 19-25, 2015 has been declared National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. This years’ theme is “Engaging Communities, Empowering Victims.” The theme this year is to emphasize engaging community leaders, organization’s and local partners so that we can help empower victims throughout the healing process and help victims to become survivors.
As a part of National Crime Victim’s Rights Week, District Attorney Brian Hermanson will host a free showing of the movie Heaven’s Rain on April 19, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at the Poncan Theatre located at 104 East Grand in Ponca City. Mr. Hermanson would like to invite the public to view this truly inspiring movie. The movie is intense and asks a very deep question, 'How do we forgive the unforgivable?'"
Heaven's Rain is the true story of Brooks Douglass’ family, whose lives were irrevocably changed one evening over 35 years ago. When Brooks Douglas was 16, two drifters, Glen Ake and Steven Hatch entered his family home, tied his parents and Brooks, and took Brooks’ 12 year old sister into the bedroom where both men raped her. The drifters then shot all four family members, killing the parents and leaving the two siblings for dead. Miraculously, Brooks and his sister survived. Brooks Douglas, after becoming an Oklahoma State Senator and authoring groundbreaking victims' rights legislation, is forced to move forward from his past.
The movie is a story of forgiveness as primarily viewed from the perspective of Brooks. Both Brooks and his sister have endured through the horror of the crime, have dealt with the emotional consequences, and eventually excel in their respective careers, he as a state legislator, businessman, producer and actor; she as a professional educator.
Please join the District Attorney Brian Hermanson on April 19, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. to view this inspiring story, and help to kick off a week set aside to recognize the plight that victims endure.
